The implants are made of titanium, the material most compatible with bone, and we use implants made by Nobel Biocare, a pioneering implantology company. The titanium anchorage is embedded in the bone, which then grows around it. This anchorage is fitted with a prosthetic extension, which is also titanium, and a dental replacement is placed on that anchorage. The dental replacement is made of modern, durable materials such as lithium disilicate (E-max) or zirconium. Such replacements are most similar to the colour and appearance of a natural tooth.
The implant can be used for a single tooth or it can be the basis for replacing all the teeth in a patient’s jaw, with multiple implants being used. The implant is placed at the previous location the patient’s tooth, and the feeling when biting is similar to that of a natural tooth.
All patients who do not have severe chronic illnesses are good candidates for implant placement. The youngest patients are those who have completed bone growth and development, i.e. somewhere around the age of 18.
Artificial replacements that are implanted into the jaw to replace the root of the missing tooth. After implant placement, it is necessary to wait for 3-6 months, i.e. an osseointegration period (integration of the implants with the bone), and then begin with the process of making an implant supra-structure that is mounted on the implant and a dental crown that is placed on the supra-structure.
Advantages of implants are as follows:
- longevity – with optimal hygiene and regular dental check-ups, your implants will last in your mouth for a lifetime.
- preservation of healthy teeth – by installing implants, you preserve your healthy teeth that should be pre-shaped in order to replace for missing teeth.
At our dental practice, we use the Nobel Biocare implant system, which is one of the best implant systems in the world.

Dental works on implants
Tooth on implant
The ideal treatment plan for you is a crown on the implant if you are missing one tooth and are eligible for implant placement.
By this procedure you replace the missing tooth and protect the surrounding teeth from pre-shaping that would be necessary if the missing tooth was to be replaced with a ceramic bridge.
After implant placement, it is necessary to wait for 3-6 months, i.e. an osseointegration period (integration of the implants with the bone), and then begin with the process of making an implant supra-structure that is mounted on the implant and a dental crown that is placed on the supra-structure.
Bridge on implants
If you are missing more teeth, it is recommended that you get a bridge that will be supported by two or more implants depending on how many teeth are missing.
Of course, if you miss all the teeth and want a fixed prosthesis on the implants, you will need to have a minimum of 6 implants to which ceramic teeth are fixed after osseointegration.
